CITY (NewsDakota.com)–The Viking volleyball team took a roadtrip on the chin this past weekend.
Venturing to the Black Hills, the Vikings were swept by South Dakota Mines (25-19, 25-22, 25-19) Friday and Black Hills State (25-16, 25-23, 25-17) Saturday.
The Vikings hit just .009 at Mines on Friday, with Jill Noeske (Jr., Valley City, ND) notching 12 kills to lead the offense.
Things got worse for the Vikings Saturday in Spearfish, with the team hitting -.036. Noeske and Rebekah DePesa (Sr., Phoenix, AZ) each had seven kills.
The Vikings have now lost three straight, and will try to break that streak at home against Dickinson State Wednesday night. The match will be broadcast on Dakota Country Radio, with prematch coverage beginning at 6:35 p.m.
