Jamestown, N.D….Three Jimmie athletes have been honored by the Dakota Athletic Conference for their efforts in the past week.
Jimmie RB Lance Johansen has been named the DAC Offensive player of the week. The Junior from Devils Lake ran for 184 yards, and two touchdowns on only 12 carries in the win over Mayville on Saturday, 28-13. He also had two receptions for 21 yards.
Jimmie DB C.J. Costello has been named the DAC Defensive player of the week. The Junior from Hanford, California had four solo tackles and three assisted tackles in the win over the Comets.
Jada Meiklejohn has been named the DAC Volleyball Setter of the week. The Senior from Dickey, North Dakota recorded 53 assists, 19 digs and one service ace, helping the Jimmies go 1-1 for the week.
Katie Lee has been named the Libero of the week. The Junior from Fargo had a perfect 1.000 reception percentage, and an .857 sereve percentage, and 45 digs for the Jimmies last week.
The Jimmie football team will host Valley City on Saturday at Greeno Field. The Vikings are ranked 16th in the country with a record of 6-1. Jamestown is 3-4. VCSU already has a win to it’s credit over the Jimmies this season, 21-10 back on October 1st in Valley City.
The Jimmie womens volleyball team will get back into conference play this week, starting out on Wednesday with a trip to Mayville. Jamestown is 5-1 in the DAC, good enough for first place.
