Jamestown, N.D…The home crowd went home happy after the Blue Jay girls volleyball team downed Bismarck three games to none in the Jays final home match of the season Tuesday night at Jerry Meyer Arena.

Even though the Jays swept the match, all three games were battles, 27-25, 25-23 and 25-16. Siri Jystad led the way with nine kills, McKayla Orr came up with 23 digs, and Katie Ramlo came through with 17 assists.

Jamestown maintains it’s grip on third place in the WDA at 9-5, and stand 17-10 over-all. The Jays are trying to hold off Mandan for the number three spot in the conference, with the WDA Tournament only two weeks away. The Blue Jays hold a one game lead on the Braves in the battle for third. Both teams are trying to stay out of the Bismarck Century bracket. The Patriots will be the number one seed, and currently sport a 14-0 conference record.

Jamestown controls it’s own destiny, as the Jays will play at Century on Thursday, and rumble with the Braves in Mandan next Tuesday, November 1st.
