High School Girls:  

Alison Allmer    Grade 11    Blue Jay Girls’ Cross Country

Alison finished 2nd of 164 runners at the 2011 North Dakota High School Class A Cross Country Championships held in Fargo on Saturday. She covered the 4000 meter course in career best 14:19, only 2.7 seconds out of first place.

High School Boys:               

Michael Sorensen  Grade 11    Blue Jay Boys’ Cross Country

Michael was the top Blue Jay Boys’ finisher at the 2011 North Dakota High School Class A Cross Country Championships held in Fargo on Saturday. He covered the 5000 meter course in career best 17:46, finishing 67th of 160 runners.

 Female College Athlete of the Week

Kayla Roemmich  Junior  Jimmie Women’s Basketball

Hometown: Bottineau, North Dakota

Kayla scored 30 points (12-19 FG), 18 rebounds, in 31 minutes of action over the weekend in helping the Jimmies to two wins over Winnipeg 83-53 and Brandon 101-51.

Male College Athlete of the Week

Dominic O’Connor  Sophomore  Jimmie Men’s Soccer

Hometown: Accrington, England

Dominic performed the hat trick with 3 goals in a 6-1 win at St. Ambrose and then registerd an assist for each goal in a 2-1 win over Viterbo as the team went 2-0 on the weekend.
