CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–The Hi-Liner volleyball team is still without an opponent for a play-in game.

Valley City has finished its Eastern Dakota Conference (EDC) season 2-16, and is currently in last place, but only a game behind Devils Lake in the loss column, a team the Hi-Liners swept in the regular season.

Should Devils Lake lose its conference match (at Fargo Davies Tuesday), Valley City would finish ninth, and make a return trip to Fargo South, the eighth seed.

If Devils Lake wins, the Hi-Liners would be 10th, and face the loser of the a match between Wahpeton and Grand Forks Central, on the road at either.

Play-ins must be finished by this Saturday, and the EDC tournament begins next Tuesday, at the site of the higher-seeded teams.
