– North Dakota’s high school basketball season officially kicks off tonight with the first Class B boys basketball games of the season.

In local action, Maple Valley is on the road at Litchville for a non-district game against the Litchville-Marion-Montpelier Rebels. Maple Valley advanced to the Region 1 Tournament last season, while Litchville-Marion lost a region qualifying game in the District 5 Tournament.

More local teams start their season Tuesday night on the season’s first full night of games: Barnes County North hosts Finley-Sharon/Hope-Page; LaMoure hosts Carrington; and Edgeley-Kulm hosts South Border.
