– Jamestown High School’s boys basketball team picked up its first victory of the season Friday night at Jerry Meyer Arena, outlasting Mandan 73-66.
Danny Fischer scored 22 points to lead the Blue Jays, and Nathan Willer added 14 for Jamestown (1-1).
In the girls game, Mandan picked up a 78-66 victory. Kyra Dewald had 21 points in the loss, and Kayla Thoele added 16 for Jamestown (0-2).
Up next: The Blue Jays are off until Friday, Dec. 16, when they go on the road to Minot.
