City, N.D. – This Friday is the deadline for the public to submit comments on the 9th avenue northwest improvement project in Valley City.

Kadrmas, Lee & Jackson engineer Chad Petersen says the road will be wider and have a bike and sidewalk path adjacent to the avenue. He says road access issues are being worked out with nearby businesses and property owners.

Work on the estimated $4 million reconstruction project is expected to start in May or June. Petersen says the asphalt estimate is $3.8 million and the concrete option is $4.6 million.

Petersen says written statements or comments must be mailed by Friday, December 16 to Chad Petersen at PO Box 937, Valley City, ND 58072. Or call the Kadrmas, Lee & Jackson office in Valley City at 845-4980.
