N. D. – State Senator Ryan Taylor officially announced his candidacy for Governor of North Dakota on Monday.

Taylor said, “North Dakota needs a leader who will address the needs of all our citizens while investing in a future that gives our children and grandchildren a chance for a better life. Taylor plans to embark on a multi-city tour of the state after the holidays.

Taylor, a Democrat is serving his third term as state Senator from District 7, He manages his fourth-generation family ranch near Towner, ND.  He and his wife, Nikki, have three young children.

Governor Jack Dalrymple is seeking his first full term as Governor after serving for nearly a decade as Lt. Governor under former Governor John Hoeven who is now serving in the U-S Senate.

Dalrymple has served as Governor for one year after Hoeven stepped down to serve as U-S Senator after he was elected to the position in November of 2010.
