CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–Valley City has earned the top seed in the upcoming Barnes County Girls Basketball Tournament, scheduled for January 10th.

The Hi-Liners defeated Enderlin in the title game a year ago.  They will face Litchville-Marion-Montpelier in the opening game.

Barnes County North is the fourth-seed, and the Bison draw fifth-seed Griggs County Central in the second game.

Northern Cass grabbed the two-seed, and they face fellow District 2 team Finley-Sharon/Hope-Page in the opening round.  Three-seed Maple Valley and sixth-seed Enderlin do battle in the final game of the opening day.

Play continues Friday, January 13th and concludes Saturday, January 14th
