(NewsDakota.com) – Pairings have been set for the District 5 and District 7 Boys Basketball Tournaments starting this week.

The District 5 Tournament runs Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Jamestown Civic Center. LaMoure (19-0) is the top seed and receives a bye in the opening round of the seven-team tournament.

No. 4 Barnes County North faces No. 5 Litchville-Marion-Montpelier at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. No. 2 Edgeley-Kulm plays No. 7 Ellendale at 6 p.m., and No. 3 Central Prairie takes on No. 6 Pingree-Buchanan-Kensal at 7:30 p.m.

Play continues with three games Friday starting at 4:30 p.m. On Saturday, two region qualifier games are at 4:30 and 6 p.m., with the championship to follow at 7:30 p.m. All nine District 5 games will be broadcast on Sunny 98.3.

In District 7, the tournament runs Friday, Saturday and Monday in New Rockford.

Warwick has earned the top seed and will receive a first-round bye in the seven-team tournament. No. 4 Midkota takes on No. 5 Harvey/Wells County in the tournament’s opening game Friday at 4 p.m. No. 2 Four Winds/Minnewauken and No. 7 Lakota/Adams-Edmore square off at 5:30 p.m., and No. 3 Carrington faces No. 6 New Rockford-Sheyenne at 7 p.m.

The tournament continues with three games Saturday starting at 4 p.m., and three games Monday, Feb. 13, starting at 4 p.m. Region qualifying games are at 4 and 5:30 p.m. Monday, with the district championship game at 7 p.m.

All Carrington games will be broadcast on KDAK 1600 AM.
