CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–A project started this fall to rebuild the pressbox area at Hanna Field in Valley City using students in construction classes is continuing.

Sheyenne Valley Area Career and Technology Center director Jeff Bopp says the students are currently working to insulate the inside of both boxes, putting up divider walls to the individual rooms, and wiring the outlets and lights.

Bopp says the students have completed building the frames, wrapping the outside with weather proofing materials, installing windows, and will soon measure for metal siding and roofing.

The project will replace the current press box at the football facility in north Valley City with two 26-foot boxes, separated by a walkway in the middle.  The boxes will house coaches, gameday staff, video crews, and media.

Valley City Superintendent Dean Koppelman says the boxes should be in place by the end of the school year and ready for usage in the fall of 2012.
