(NewsDakota.com) When you’re the number eight seed in a tournament out of eight teams, it’s expected that it is going to be quite the test in your first round contest.

Such is the case Thursday night for the Oakes High School boys basketball team, as they head to Wyndmere to go up against the Warbirds of Wyndmere/Lidgerwood in the first round of the 2012 District 1 Boys Basketball Tournament.

Oakes finished the district season at 0-7, whereas the Warbirds went 7-0 in district play, including a 65-42 victory against the Tornadoes in Wyndmere on January 24.
