(NewsDakota.com) The Oakes High School boys basketball team saw their 2011-12 season come to an end on Saturday, after falling 54-44 to the Lisbon Broncos in loser-out play in the District 1 boys basketball tournament.

After trailing most of the start, the Tornadoes were able to play Lisbon close to the vest midway through the third quarter, however the Broncos got hot, and Oakes was never able to recover.

Freshman Bryce Meehl had the high point mark for Oakes with 16 points. Stephan Quant had eight, and Tristan Meyer had seven.

Oakes ends their season with a 2-19 mark, and no wins against any District 1 team.
