CITY (NewsDakota.com)–Maple Valley and Fargo Oak Grove qualified for the Region I tournament, while Central Cass rolled to the District 2 title.

 

The Raiders punched their ticket in Monday’s opening game of the district tournament’s final round, bouncing back from a loss to Kindred Saturday with a 65-58 win over Enderlin.

 

Ty Smith led four Raiders in double figures with 22 points. Ethan Preston added 20 more. Thomas Lindgren led the Eagles with 21 points in the loss.

 

Oak Grove then took the final spot from the district in the Region I field, edging past Richland 62-57. Central Cass started fast and finished faster, winning a 84-53 title game over Kindred.

 

Oak Grove will be the fourth seed from the district, Maple Valley the third, Kindred the second and Central Cass the top seed.

 

The Region I tournament begins Monday.
