(NewsDakota.com) – Becca Scherr scored 21 points and Emily Thompson added 14 as the No. 1-ranked Carrington girls basketball team rolled to a 74-38 victory over Benson County on Tuesday night.

Kayla Hochhalter added 10 points for Carrington, which improves to 17-1. They are the state’s top-ranked team in this week’s Class B Top 10 poll.

Sara Schwanke scored 11 points to lead Benson County.

Up next: Carrington wraps up its regular season schedule Thursday with a game at Washburn.
