(NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Blue Jay wrestling team has 10 wrestlers competing at the North Dakota State Wrestling Tournament on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Bismarck Civic Center.

Individual wrestling begins today with first round matches, and concludes with the championships Saturday afternoon. The Blue Jays have six wrestlers seeded in the Top 8 of their weight classes, including Jaden Horsted and Eathan Gumke who are both seeded No. 4 in their classes.

Paxton Mewes (28-9) is the No. 8 seed at 106 pounds and faces Williston’s Hayden Rossol (6-17).

Jaden Horsted (31-8) is the No. 4 seed at 120 pounds and takes on John Windsor (4-20) of Bismarck St. Mary’s.

Mitch Ova (14-22) is unseeded at 132 pounds and drew Minot’s Cody Haugen (28-4), the No. 2 seed.

Ryan Hillerud (22-14) is the No. 8 seed at 138 pounds and faces Wahpeton’s Ethan Meide (22-13).

Zane Braun (35-6) is the No. 5 seed at 152 pounds and wrestles Tommy Good (10-21) os Devils Lake.

Eathan Gumke (28-9) is the No. 4 seed at 170 pounds and faces Waylon Decoteau (5-6) of Turtle Mountain.

Reece Waldie (17-19) is unseeded at 182 pounds and matches up against No. 7 seed Adam Stevens (7-5) of Williston.

Pat Lane (8-10) is unseeded at 195 pounds and faces Briley Crissler (36-5) of Turtle Mountain.

Nate Purcell (23-16) is seeded No. 7 at 220 pounds and faces Bismarck’s Tommy Sease (14-18).

Heavyweight Mark Reynolds is unseeded and draws top-seeded Bryan Bjerk (38-5) of Grand Forks Red River.
