N.D. (AP) – A recovery fund that was set up to help Minot
recover from last year’s record Souris River flooding has doled out
more than $3.3 million to flood victims. Last year’s flooding
swamped more than 4,000 homes and businesses in North Dakota’s
fourth-largest city.     
   
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – North Dakota’s chief boiler inspector says
last month’s death of an oil patch worker might have been
prevented. Thirty-eight-year-old Richard Ries died January 27th
during a boiler explosion near Keene. Investigations say it’s
impossible to determine exactly what happened, but they believe
excessively worn boiler valves contributed to the accident.     
   
DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) – Dickinson may soon have a new high
school. Administrators at Hope Christian Academy say they’re
considering an expansion beginning in the fall. The school
currently runs through eighth grade.     
   
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) – Great Lakes Aviation will use larger
planes to fly between Jamestown and Minneapolis. The 32-seat planes
will also have a galley, bathroom and beverage service during the
twice-daily round trip service that starts in mid-March.
