LAKE (NewsDakota.com) – The Carrington boys basketball team advanced to the Region 4 semifinals tonight in Devils Lake after knocking off Benson County 57-48 in the tournament’s opening round Monday.

Carrington is the District 7 champion. They’ll now take on fellow District 7 team Four Winds/Minnewaukan, which defeated St. John 72-64 in the quarterfinals. Carrington and Four Winds play at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

In the other half of the bracket, North Star takes on Warwick at about 7:30 p.m. North Star advanced with a 64-48 win over New Rockford-Sheyenne, and Warwick defeated Munich/Starkweather 71-54.
