CITY (NewsDakota.com) It’s been a long time since the region was hit with any significant snowfall.

The National Weather Services says about 2 to 5 inches of snow fell in a line from Valley City to Grafton. Some areas receive more others less.

The National Weather Services says Mayville received about an inch while Lancaster, Minnesota reported 7 inches of heavy wet snow.

Temperatures were hovering around the 34 degree mark and some of the snow melted immediately as it was hitting the ground.
