CITY (NewsDakota.com) So far, former city commissioner Ken Evenson and Greg Curtis both of Valley City have taken out petitions to get the necessary signatures to run for one of two city commission seats up for election in the June 12 Primary/Election.

Any interested candidate needs to gather 141 citywide signatures to run for a Valley City Commission seat now held by Jon Wagar and George Dutton.

Wagar said publicly that he would not seek re-election while Dutton has not made any public announcement yet. City Auditor Richter says the deadline for interested candidates to file is Friday, April 13 at 4pm.
