N.D. (AP) – A man is in custody in Fargo after he was extradited from Minnesota after being accused of killing his wife. Prosecutors say 50-year-old Henry Deniger Senior stabbed his wife Kathye to death.
MINOT, N.D. (AP) – Minot’s police chief is retiring on Friday after 31 years on the force. Jeff Balentine led Minot through the historic Souris River flood and was also on the force during the 2002 train derailment and anhydrous ammonia spill in the city.
MEDORA, N.D. (AP) – The Bully Pulpit Golf Course at Medora will open all 18 holes later this month. The course was closed last May because of flooding along the Little Missouri River. Officials later reopened nine holes.
FARGO, N.D. (AP) – North Dakota’s spring planting remains well ahead of the average pace thanks to another week of mild weather. About 17 percent of the state’s staple spring wheat crop is in the ground, compared with the average over the past five years of 1 percent.
