(NewsDakota.com) Two openings on the Dickey County Commission are scheduled to be on the June primary ballot; one in District 2 and District 4.

District 2, which contains Ellendale has three candidates running for the seat: Tom Denison, Donald D. Meidinger and Thor Sand. Two of the three men running with the highest vote total will face-off for the seat in November. Current Commissioner of District 2 Joel Durheim will not seek re-election.

District 4, which contains Oakes has only one name on the ballot; current Commissioner Gary C. White. White and any write-in candidate will run for the seat in November.

Dickey County Commissioners are voted on at large; meaning that anyone in the county can vote on any commission seat.
