(NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown College graduation ceremonies are Saturday, May 5, at the Jamestown Civic Center.

Baccalaureate is at 10:30 a.m. and commencement exercises are at 2:30 p.m. It is the 106th Commencement for Jamestown College, and will feature 183 graduates.

A press release from the college says the commencement address will be made by Jamestown College alumnus and trustee H. George Schuler of Plano, Texas. Schuler is a 1968 graduate of Jamestown College. The college says he is founder of Schuler Development and has experience in “researching, planning and developing commercial and residential real estate.”

Speakers from the 2012 graduates are scheduled to be Grand Rapids, Minn., native Caleb Grossman, a history-political science and English graduate, and Byron Jones, a physical education graduate from Glenarden, Md.

On Friday, May 4, the Jamestown College Concert Choir will put on a free Commencement Concert at 7:30 p.m. at the Basilica of St. James.
