(NewsDakota.com) – A Jamestown High School student could have his artwork hanging in the United States Capitol for the next year.
Hunter Braunberger is one of nine North Dakota finalists in the 2012 Congressional Art Competition. The winner’s artwork represents North Dakota in the U.S. Capitol for the next year in the “Artistic Discovery” exhibition.
Braunberger’s piece is titled Harvest Moon, and was done with color pencil. People can view and vote for their favorite piece of art by visiting Congressman Rick Berg’s Facebook page.

The piece with the most “likes” will be announced the winner on May 7. Voting ends at midnight on Saturday, May 5.
The winning student will also receive two plane tickets to Washington, D.C. to attend the Exhibition Grand Opening Celebration. Runner-up artwork will be displayed in Berg’s offices in North Dakota and Washington, D.C.
