(NewsDakota.com) The City of Oakes will be hosting several city officials from around the region on Thursday as the North Dakota League Of Cities hosts the 2012 Spring Southeast Regional Meeting.

The League of Cities consists of six regions, and the Southeast Region encompasses the counties of Barnes, Cass, LaMoure, Ransom, Richland, Dickey and Sargent. Officials from the cities in those counties will tour the Davita Dialysis Center in Oakes on Thursday morning, as well as the James Valley Grain/South Dakota Wheat Growers complex.

North Dakota Rural Water is scheduled to host a meeting, and the afternoon will feature break-out sessions discussing on Oakes, and how their towns compare and contrast with the host city. The Angry Beaver Lodge is playing host to the meetings.
