(NewsDakota.com) The LaMoure-Litchville/Marion baseball team saw their six game winning streak snapped by the team that beat them the last time the Loboes lost a game in Region I; the Kindred-Richland Vikings.
Lead by strong pitching from Nick Milbrandt returning from injury after two weeks away, the defending State Champs swept their series with the Loboes for 2012; winning 3-1 on Tuesday afternoon at Townsend Field.
The Loboes threw Zach Stemen to start, and he gave up the only runs of the game scored by the Vikings; three runs on three hits. Milbrandt’s return to the hill saw him allow just one run on five hits while striking out 13 batters. Jared Meiklejohn had three hits for LLM. Sean Cose had a double that scored all three runs to help the Vikings improve to 6-1 in Region I play..
Next up for the Loboes (6-3 Region I) is another home contest on Monday May 7 against Enderlin/Maple Valley.
