N.D. (AP) – A man who’s accused of driving drunk and causing a fatal crash that killed three people in Mandan is set to stand trial. A judge rejected a plea agreement between prosecutors and 23-year-old Taylor Berhow of Bismarck. It called for him to serve five years in prison and five years on probation.

DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) – A Dickinson man pleaded not guilty to reckless endangerment after authorities say he caused a methamphetamine lab to explode inside his apartment earlier this year. Forty-year-old Shane Cook was injured during the blast.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – A federal appeals court is rejecting the complaint of a Mandan man who was sentenced to life in prison on a drug conspiracy charge. Russell Seidel was convicted last summer after authorities found methamphetamine while searching his home. He appealed his conviction and said authorities didn’t have probable cause for the search.

MINOT, N.D. (AP) – The Minot Planning Commission voted this week to approve a chemical storage facility near the site of a proposed school and a new hotel and restaurant. The commission voted 11-to-1 to recommend that the Minot City Council approve the permit for Baker Hughes Oilfield Operations.
