(NewsDakota.com)- Jake Stilwell worked seven shutout innings as the Blue Jays picked up their third West Region win, this one over the Bismarck Demons. Not only did Stilwell shutout the Demons, he allowed just one hit.
The Blue Jays won the first game, the one that counts in the West Region standings, 3-0. Bismarck was able to take the second game, 2-1.
Jamestown was able to put two runs on the board in the first inning on a two-run double by Tyler Ukestad. Brady Anderson’s RBI triple added an insurance run in the sixth.
It was more than enough for Stilwell, as no Demon reached third base. He stuck out four and walked five.
Bismarck won the second game, another pitchers duel, 2-1.
Jamestown is now 10-6 (3-3 West Region) and will go on the road to battle Bismarck St. Mary’s on Friday afternoon.
