(NewsDakota.com) – Health students at Jamestown High School will participate in a Teen Community Emergency Response Team (Teen CERT) disaster drill exercise Thursday morning.

About 115 students will take part in the event Thursday at the Jamestown High School parking lot. Students participating in the class have learned how to respond and take care of themselves and others in the event of a disaster.

This is the second year that the high school and Stutsman County Emergency Management have teamed up to offer the class, which teaches students on emergency preparedness, fire safety, medical triage, disaster medical, search and rescue, disaster psychology, school safety and terrorism.
