(NewsDakota.com) – Road construction is set to begin Thursday on U.S. Highway 52 south of Carrington as crews begin a grade raise project.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation says work will consist of a grade raise, culvert replacement and pavement marking from south of Carrington to North Dakota Highway 9, which is about 9 miles south of Carrington.

The project is expected to be completed by mid-October. Motorists can expect delays during construction. Speeds will be reduced and pilot cars will be used in work areas during construction. An 11.5 foot width restriction will be in place.
