(NewsDakota.com) A poll of likely voters shows Heitkamp leading Berg in the race for U-S Senate in North Dakota.

The Mason-Dixon poll showed Heidi Heitkamp in front of Representative Rick Berg 47 to 46 percentage points. Among Independent voters Heitkamp’s lead expanded to 51 percent favoring her and 36 percent supporting Rick Berg.

The poll follows news that Heitkamp out raised Berg during the pre-primary reporting period.
