(NewsDakota.com) Voters in Dickey County will vote on Tuesday on a number of issues for the June 2012 primary in addition to the four statewide measures and statewide legislative primaries.

In Ellendale, voters will decide City Measure 1, which asks if the city of Ellendale should publish the minutes of the governing body in its official newspaper, as well as decide three seats on the city council with four people running; Craig Monatukwa, Timothy A Belmore, Gene William, and Sandra L Ulmer.

In Oakes, voters will also vote for three city council seats with four names on the ballot; Larry Engel, Jeff Forward, Greg Strutz and Richard Lauderdale, and vote to fill two seats on the park board. Marke Roberts is the only name on the ballot. 

The county will also vote on two commission seats. District 2 has three names on the ballot running for the one seat; Donald D Meidinger, Tom Denison, and Thor W Sand, while District 4 has just one name on the ballot for the seat; Gary C White.

District 26 and 28 are also in Dickey County, and Jim Dotzenrod is running unopposed in District 26 for State Senate, and Bill Amerman and Jerome “Jerry” Kelsk are running for the two seats for State Representative. In District 28, Greg Brokaw is running unopposed for State Senate, and Joan M Hoffman and Austin Wald are running for the two seats for State Representative.

Voting throughout Dickey County starts Tuesday morning at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 7 p.m.

Dickey County has three precincts and below is the list of communities for each precinct.

Precinct #1- Vote at Senior Center in Ellendale (District 28) Albertha, Albion, Elden, Ellendale, Elm, German, Grand Valley, Hamburg, Keystone, Lorraine, Northwest, Potsdam, Spring Valley, Valley, Whitestone, Young, City of Ellendale, City of Forbes, City of Monago.

Precinct #2- Vote at Fullerton City Hall (District 26) Kentner, Maple, Porter, Van Meter, City of Fullerton

Precinct #3- Vote at Oakes Armory (District 26) Hudson, Lovell, Riverdale, Wright, Kent, City of Oakes, Port Emma, City of Ludden, Yorktown, Ada, Bear Creek, Clement, Divide, Hudson, James River Valley.
