City, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Boards of the North Dakota Winter Show and the Valley City Area Chamber of Commerce reached an agreement to consolidate the staff of the two entities. The agreement says the Chamber and the Winter Show will remain legally separate entities with separate Boards, finances, and committee structures.

The consolidated staff will be led by Dawn Riley who will assume the role of both the Executive Vice President of the Chamber and Winter Show Manager.
President of the Winter Show Board of Directors, Tim Ost says the agreement will benefit both organizations.
Keith Heuser, president of the Chamber Board of Directors, says, “This agreement will address the highly seasonal nature of our operations, reduce total costs, and improve service to our members.”

The staff of both entities will be retained, though responsibilities are being rearranged to address the needs of both organizations. The agreement is will take effect July 1 on a trial bases and be re-evaluated by both organizations in one year.
The previous Executive Vice President of the Chamber Stephanie Mayfield stepped down earlier this month after serving for more than 2 years.
