CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) It’s official, Fred Thompson is the new police chief in Valley City.
Mayor Bob Werkhoven administered the oath of office during a brief ceremony before a regular city commission meeting on July 16.
Thompson said he will do the best he can to serve the city and the people of Valley City to the best of his ability.
Thompson previously served as a captain with the Henderson, Nevada police department before being selected as police chief in Valley City. Thompson and his wife Colleen have 4 children.
