N.D. (AP) – The south central North Dakota city of Linton is the latest to ban smoking in public buildings.
Officials with North Dakota’s Center for Tobacco Prevention and Control Policy say the Linton City Council voted 4-2 this week to approve a smoke-free ordinance. It goes into effect Sept. 1.
Linton is the 10th North Dakota city to pass such a ban. The others are Bismarck, Cavalier, Devils Lake, Fargo, Grand Forks, Lisbon, Napoleon, Pembina and West Fargo.
