JAMESTOWN, N.D. (AP) – A Jamestown man accused of killing a Somali immigrant is to stand trial this week at the Stutsman County Courthouse.

Jury selection is scheduled to begin Tuesday in the murder and criminal conspiracy trial of 34-year-old Leron Howard. He has pleaded not guilty in the April 2011 death of 18-year-old Abdi Ali Ahmed, who was beaten and stabbed before his body was dumped in a ditch near Spiritwood.

A Jamestown jury in February convicted 22-year-old Janelle Cave on manslaughter and criminal conspiracy charges in the case. She is required to testify in Howard’s trial as part of her sentence.
