CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–A young Hi-Liner cross country squad participated at the junior varsity level at the Orriginals Invite in Jamestown last Friday.

The girls finished third as a team out of 19 participating squads with 104 points, and the boys were 10th out of 21 teams present.

April Berntson won the girls event with a 12:31, and Barbara Zubrod was seventh with a 13:16.  Casey Engelhard topped the Hi-Liner boys finishers, placing 14th at 15:48.

The Hi-Liners run again on Friday, and head coach Brian Engelhard says most participants will run varsity at that event.
