CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Dry conditions are keeping fire fighters busy in the region as fire crews respond to grass fires. Valley City Fire Chief Gary Retterath says crews have also responded to car and house fires over the last 14 days as well.

Retterath says in some cases controlled grass fire burns have gotten out of control.

Fire crews from Sanborn and Litchville responded to area grass fires yesterday. Firefighters will more than likely remain busy as hot and dry conditions continue in the region.
