(NewsDakota.com) – Area residents will have a chance to take a first-hand look at the effect of bullying Sept. 15.

The Jamestown Parent Awareness/Prevention Center and the Bison 6 Cinema have teamed up to present the movie BULLY, which is a documentary on peer-to-peer bullying in schools across America. Nellie Degan with the Parent Awareness Center says it took about six months to get the movie in Jamestown and she encourages everyone to go see it.

The movie follows the lives of students who face bullying on a daily basis, and shows people through actions what bullying really is. Degan says bringing the movie to Jamestown is part of being proactive to prevent bullying.

The movie premieres in Jamestown on Saturday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. All tickets are $6. It will be at the Cinema for about a week. Degan says the movie is rated PG-13. Degan says they will be seeking feedback from viewers at Saturday’s premiere showing.

Group rates are available and advance tickets can be purchased at the Bison 6 Cinema.
