(NewsDakota.com)  The Cardinals were in action on Thursday night against District 7 opponent Lakota Adams/Edmore.  Carrington swept Lakota A/E 3-0 (25-16, 25-21, 25-19).  The Cards improve to 18-4 overall, 3-1 in the District.  Lakota A/E is 1-2 in District 7. 

Serving aces for Carrington were led by Madison Wendel with four and Breana Barton with three.  In the kills category, Madison Wendel had seven, five apiece for Kayla Hochhalter and Page Anderson, three for Jacey Engelhorn. 

Hannah Lipetzky had 13 digs, Madison Wendel had 6 stuff blocks.

Setting assists were led by Josey Page with eight, Nikki Braaten with seven and Brooke Rosenau with three.

Lakota was led by Fallyn Freije with two aces and six kills.  Raevyn Pesek had 14 assists along with two digs.  Ashtin Freije had nine digs, six kills and one assist.

Next up for Carrington is Tuesday, October 2nd against Griggs County Central in Carrington, it will be the fifth home game in a row for the Cards.  All teams (ABC87) will be in action starting at 3:30p.
