(NewsDakota.com) The Carrington Fire Department responded to a CRP fire last night (Oct. 15th) around 7:20p at 90th 74th Ave, about nine miles east of Carrington on Highway 200 and about three miles south of the propane tanks. 13 men responded, the fire was threatening several fields around it as some farmers were combining corn nearby. The Fire Department was unable to tell how much was burned as it was split into four different flame fronts. Carrington Fire Department was on scene for about three hours last night. The fire started as a controlled burn. It was called into CFD when it started to get closer to the nearby cornfields.
