(NewsDakota.com) – The Hi-Liner volleyball team dropped a two-point match in EDC volleyball action Monday night in Wahpeton.

The Huskies swept Valley City in straight sets, 25-17, 25-11, 25-23. With the win, Wahpeton leap frogs past Valley City in the EDC standings. Wahpeton improves to 5-9 in EDC play and currently holds the sixth spot in the standings.

Valley City drops to 4-8 in EDC play and is currently in seventh. The sixth position avoids a play-in match to the EDC Tournament.

Valley City (17-15, 4-8 EDC) is back in action Tuesday, Oct. 23, with a home match against Fargo South (7-18, 3-8 EDC). That match will be broadcast on KOVC 1490 AM and is worth two points in the EDC standings. The Hi-Liners also have home matches remaining against Grand Forks Red River (Oct. 25) and Fargo North (Oct. 30).
