N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Earlier this week, Triumph, Inc., of Jamestown became one of just seven recipients statewide of the North Dakota Department of Human Services’ Division of Vocational Rehabilitation’s 2012 Employer of the Year award.

The award is given each year to companies working to support individuals with disabilities in the workplace, both as employers themselves and finding employment for such individuals.

Ann Ede is the company’s Director of Career Services:

Triumph was honored for the Jamestown region. Other recipients included: KNDX Fox 26, Bismarck; Hugo’s Family Marketplace, Grand Forks; Medora Convenience Store, Medora; Walmart, Minot; North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS) Campus Connection, Wahpeton; and Lindsey Implement, Inc., Williston.

Division director Russ Cusack said of the companies, “These organizations are business champions. Their support and progressive attitudes are the reason why North Dakota is the leader in employment of individuals with disabilities.”

Ede said she hopes for the current two-person agency at Triumph to continue expanding in the future in order to assist more individuals and provide additional services.
