ROCKFORD (NewsDakota.com)  In 9 man football this season, Region 2 New Rockford/Sheyenne Rockets are undefeated at 8-0.  This Saturday, October 20th at 1pm, the Rockets will host the No. 4 seed out of Region 1, Lamoure-Litchville-Marion.  LLM is coming in with a 7-2 record, with quality wins over Wyndmere/Lidgerwood and Richland.

Fourth year Head Coach Elliot Belquist of NR-S Rockets said that his team has gone to the playoffs every year for the last four years, and have lost in the first round.  Last year they lost in the first round to Napoleon-Gackle-Streeter.  Belquist admits that his Seniors have gone through the heartache every year, and are hungry for a first round win this year. 

He said in order to win this Saturday, they’ll have to contain Junior running-back Brady Thielges of the Loboes.  

Coach Belquist’s entire interview will be played back on the Coaches Show at 8:20am this Friday morning on KDAK AM 1600 in Carrington. 

The game will be broadcast on TED 98.3 FM starting at about 12:30pm pregame, 1:00pm kickoff.
