Hudson, 82, of Oakes, ND, passed away October 16, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Society, Oakes.

Eva Buchholz, daughter of Paul and Hulda (Jahnke) Buchholz was born November 23, 1929 at Crete, North Dakota. When she was six months old, Eva moved with her family to Casselton, North Dakota. She attended her twelve years of school in Casselton, graduating in 1948. Eva continued her education at Fargo Business College, and then was employed by the Victor H. Leeby Co. from 1949 to 1954.

She married Glen Hudson on April 7, 1951 at Casselton. In 1953 they purchased a farm near Oakes, where they raised their two daughters. In 1961 Eva became employed with Courtney Real Estate and worked there until she went to work at Oakes Lumber. In 1973 Eva and Glen became owners of Hudson’s Appliance Store, which they owned for 20 years. Glen passed away April 27, 2009. Eva was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

She is survived by daughers, Debra Mae (Curt) Quesnell, Newfolden, MN and Bonnie Kay (Steve) Erickson, Surprise, AZ; and grandchildren, Carson (Marisa) Quesnell, Mathew (Katie) Erickson, Adam Quesnell, and great-grandson, Carter Erickson. Eva was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and her husband Glen.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Oakes. Her funeral will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, Oakes. Burial will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, Lisbon.
