(NewsDakota.com)- The Jamestown Blue Jay volleyball team still holds their own destiny to win the West Region for the first time in school history. Tonight they will have to knock off the favorite if they want to have to chance to lock up the top-seed and regular season crown.

Bismarck Century beat the Jays at Meyer Arena back in early September, but since then Jamestown has been on a roll. They lost a tough five-setter to Dickinson a few days after and have since won nine WDA matches in a row. The Jays, 23-7 (12-2), have only dropped one set of the 28 they have played during the current winning streak.

Century is currently 28-4 (13-1) in the WDA, their only loss coming to Dickinson.

If Jamestown beats Century in four sets or less, they will need to beat Mandan on Tuesday for the West Region Title. If Jamestown wins in five, it will go to a total points tiebreaker.

They can lock up the second seed with a win in either of their next two matches.

The Patriots can clinch the WDA with any sort of victory tonight.

Tonight’s game will be broadcast on KQDJ-AM 1400 and streamed online at NewsDakota.com. The pregame show will begin around 7pm.

Jamestown will close the regular season on Tuesday at Mandan.
