CITY (NewsDakota.com) – The Hi-Liner volleyball team is playing to extend its season Friday night.

Valley City hosts Devils Lake for a play-in match to the EDC Tournament on Friday, 6 p.m. at the Hi-Liner Activity Center.

The winner moves on to the EDC Tournament, Nov. 6, 9, 10 and plays at Grand Forks Red River on Tuesday in the opening round.

Devils Lake is win-less so far in EDC play this season. Valley City finished the regular season 6-12 in EDC play. Two of those wins came against Devils Lake. Valley City swept the Firebirds in a home match, and then won in Devils Lake in four sets.

Radio coverage of the play-in match will begin at about 5:40 p.m. on KOVC 1490.
