CENTER, IA (NewsDakota.com)- The first night of a two-day trip to Iowa netted some mixed results for Jamestown College. The #11 ranked Jimmie women picked up a 66-62 victory. The second game of the night featured the No. 3 Dordt men, as they rolled over the JC men, 95-64.

A big first half from Bridget Schuneman was able to pace the Jimmies to a win. Schuneman had 14 points, all in the first half. 

The Defenders found themselves down 13 early in the second half, but as the gym started to fill so did the confidence of Dordt. They were able to tie the game, before Jamestown College closed it out down the stretch.

Carly Jensen lead the way with 17. Hannah Steele added 14. The women are now 3-0.

In the men’s game, it was all Dordt. After nine lead changes opening five minutes, the Defenders went on a 15-0 lead and never looked back.

Dordt made 13 three-pointers, including five from Shawn Keizer. Mark Hoge lead the Jimmies with 24
