(Newsdakota.com)  The Carrington Girls Basketball team kicks off their season tonight against District Five opponent Ellendale Cardinals at Carrington High School.  Carrington is coming off a 19-2 season last year, District Seven champs and runner-up in Region Four losing to Lakota/Adams-Edmore.

Carrington lost four seniors from last year, but Head Coach Andy Braaten is expecting some of his experienced players from last years team to take their place.

Carrington girls won the State Championship in 2011, defeating Central Cass 54-46.
